The iconic Squire Old English padlocks were first introduced in 1954 and have long been used in underwater situations.
The original versions were used in Newfoundland to lock lobster pots under the sea - testament to their outstanding anti-rust, anti-corrosion properties. Nearly 70 years later, Squire is roud to launch Old English 555, the first Old Enlish padlock with stainless steel shackle and body.
Central to this lock's incredible performance in wet conditions is its four-level lock mechanism made from brass with electrophoretic nickel coating. These lockss have been salt spray tested to 480 hours and meet the highest European corrosion resistance standard (EN 1670 - Grade 5).
Ideal for marine environments, boats, jet skis, beach huts, fishing equiptment, marinas, harbour and beach locations.
